ABOUT

At Nicki Bark, every dog is treated as if they were my own. While they’re with me,

their wellbeing is always my top priority — with breaks for water, gentle handling,

and a calm space where they can relax. Grooming isn’t rushed;

I take the time to make sure your dog feels safe and cared for from start to finish.

My motto is “Go Forth and Fluff” — because grooming should be more than just a tidy-up.

It’s about giving dogs the comfort of a healthy coat, the lightness of a good bath,

and the confidence to strut their stuff afterwards.

Maintaining a healthy coat is an essential part of your dog’s overall wellbeing,

and I’m here to help keep them lookinG — and feeling — their very best.

CUSTOMER T&C's

​1.Health & Behaviour - You confirm your dog is fit to be groomed and that all health or behavioural issues have been disclosed.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or stop a groom if your dog shows signs of aggression, extreme stress, or poses a risk.

  • Owners are responsible for any injury their dog causes to staff or damage to property.

2. Vaccinations, Parasites & Illness

  • Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations and flea/worm treatments. Extra charges apply if fleas or parasites are found.

  • We cannot accept dogs with contagious conditions (e.g., kennel cough, ringworm, infectious skin conditions).

3. Matting & Groom Outcome

  • Severely matted coats may need to be clipped short for welfare reasons. This may expose underlying skin issues and may cause irritation.

  • Additional charges apply for de-matting and for additional time incurred. Coat condition, behaviour, and age/health may affect the final groom style.

4. Senior Dogs & Medical Conditions

  • Elderly, young, or medically fragile dogs are groomed strictly at the owner’s risk. Grooming may aggravate existing conditions. We do not groom pregnant dogs.

5. Grooming Risks, Emergencies, Cancellations, Lateness

  • While every care is taken, minor nicks, irritation, or stress can occur as an unavoidable part of grooming.

  • In the case of illness, accident, or emergency, we will contact you immediately. If you are unreachable, we may seek veterinary care at your expense.

  • Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late arrivals or no-shows may be charged up to 50% of the groom fee.

7. Collection & Salon Etiquette & Payment

  • Dogs must be collected promptly once the groom is complete. Owners will be called 30 minutes before groom is complete. Late care/boarding may be charged.

  • As this is a home salon, please respect our property, neighbours, and drop-off/pick-up guidelines.

  • Final price may vary depending on coat condition, time taken, and dog behaviour. Cash, or direct bank transfer accepted on collection.

9. Photos & Marketing

  • We may take photos of your pet for marketing purposes unless you request otherwise.

10. Insurance & Liability

  • Nicki Bark is fully insured. We cannot accept liability for injury, illness, death, loss, of a pet unless caused by proven negligence.

11. Data Use

  • Your personal information is kept secure and used only for grooming-related services, reminders, and records in line with data protection law.
